The Del Carmen Hotel is located in Prado del Rey, a quiet town in the Sierra of Cadiz, just at 45 minutes time from Jerez de la Frontera, an hour from Seville and two hours from Malaga. Its excellent location allows a quick access to the Natural Park of Grazalema and the Natural Park of the Alcornocales (cork oak grove). Prado del Rey is part of the so called Route of the White Towns, a route that makes possible the visit to a number of lime cast villages. The contrast between the flowery balconies and the white walls, together with the narrow lanes that welcome the visitants, confer an exquisite beauty to Prado del Rey. The Del Carmen Hotel enjoys of a unique natural surrounding, due to the proximity of the Natural Parks of Sierra de Grazalema and Los Alcornocales. This particular situation offers to the visitant a beautiful place where is located in the reknowned Pinsapar of the Sierra of Cádiz, an area declared biosphere protected by UNESCO. The area surrounding Prado del Rey shows routes of great interest, both in the Natural Park Sierra de Grazalema and the villages of the region. Among these routes the most outstanding are the ornithological route, well sign posted, and the archaeological route where sites and ruins like the Roman Town of Iptuci or the Matrera Castle - an old Arabic watchtower - are found.
